Client: New York University

Architect: Cannon Design

Square Footage: 60,000 SF

Once again, our team was brought on board early in the design development process to add value and aid in the decision-making process. The project included decoupling the two floors from existing building infrastructure and installing new 24/7, 365 days a year environmental controls while maintaining a constant 65-degree temperature with 35% relative humidity. We achieved this through the installation of desiccant humidification and dehumidification HVAC systems to house the university’s priceless special collections. The 2nd floor was designed to emulate an “art gallery” feel to display special items from the collection.
